Donate Frequent Flyer Tickets
If you are a member of a airline frequent flyer club and have extra miles, why not
consider a donation of an airline ticket? Most FF programs will not allow points to
be exchanged, but most will allow the FF member to buy a ticket in someone
else's name. We will be happy to provide you a receipt for the gift of such a
ticket for the fair (published) market value of the ticket for tax
purposes. This is a win-win situation. The Iveys get a free ticket, you
donate excess FF points in the form of a ticket, and you receive a tax deduction
for the donation.
If you are willing to participate, send your name and telephone number to the webmaster. The next time such air transportation is needed, you will be contacted to determine if you are able to contribute via this method.
