Support for the Iveys' mission is always appreciated.  You may offer your support in several ways:

Prayer -
The first thing Arthur always asks for when questioned about his needs is "Prayer"!  Please put the Ivey family and their needs  on your daily prayer list and advise the Iveys of the time of day each day that you will be praying.  You will be surprised at how meaningful such a gift will be to you as well, and in a country where the Ivey's may not see another American in the course of several days, the support of prayer partners are a continuing source of strength.

Financial Support-
Financial support for the Ivey family and for the ministries they establish and are involved in are very important .  It is this support that allows them to stay in Peru and conduct ministries to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.  Contributions may be made through The Mission Society.

The Mission Society is a Faith-Based organization, with each missionary family responsible for raising its own financial support.  This entire mission is a leap of faith.  You may contribute to the Iveys through the Mission Society with contributions marked for:

"Ivey Support 254/IA"

Special Gifts
There are times when persons want to give a special gift, such as for a birthday or Christmas.  These gifts may be made by sending a check payable to The Mission Society with "Special Gift for Ivey Family" in the memo line and a note that it is a special gift and not for support.  It can be mailed to the address above.  The giver must be clear about the purpose of this gift and it is generally limited to gifts of less than $500.00.

All contributions given through The Mission Society are tax deductible.

Current Mission Needs –

Children’s Ministries – puppets, felt board sets, supplies, funds for transportation and food for the children.  Puppets generally cost $45.00 each,  felt board sets cost $190.00 each.  Transportation for Kid’s clubs runs $25.00 per club per month.  Costs for fruit for the children is approximately  $45.00 per club per month.  Other supplies such as crayons, paper, copies, etc.  generally cost $30.00 per month per club.

Discipleship Ministries Literature – funds for the on-going purchase of books and bibles used in the discipleship process.  One set of books for one person for the two year study costs $138.00.

Micro Business Research and Development --     We are in the process of developing some microeconomic projects that will help to make the ministry in Peru self-supporting.  We currently have a working model project and are doing additional research.  We hope to improve our model project and implement a new project based on the model in the coming year.  If we are successful each project could support 6 to 8 national missionary workers.  We hope to create a rotating capital fund that would be repaid by each new project and used to start additional projects. We currently could use any economic assistance that can be provided to help with the cost of research and initial capitalization.

Personal Gifts -
Remember, the electrical current in Peru is 240V, and not every appliance is adaptable.  However, items such as clothing, shoes and personal items are always useful.  If a gift is not needed by an Ivey family member, there are plenty of  church-goers who will appreciate the items Arthur passes on.  Video tapes - movies and sporting events - (especially basketball) are a welcome diversion.  It's always good to get English language books and videos to keep reading and verbal skills honed.
