We were able to celebrate a
special event for our family this month. Mary Beth had her eleventh
birthday. Since Mary Beth is more Peruvian than North American, we
had to celebrate Peruvian style with a big party. Mary Beth
invited about 15 of her friends, which included many of the young people we
work with, and, as is the case here, many of them brought a friend
along. It was a special time for all of us.
Mary Beth's birthday
celebration.
Please be in prayer with us for
the continued transition of the Kid's Club ministries and our efforts to
find and train additional workers for this ministry. Pray also for
the discipleship and leadership training and the youth cell ministry, and
that God would continue to impart His vision to these young
people. Please be in prayer for upcoming transition back to the
states and for opportunities to raise the additional support we need to return
to the work in Peru. Please continue to pray and thank the Lord Jesus
for our relationship with Mision-AMEN and our relationship with the all of
the churches here. Most importantly we would like to ask you to covenant
with us and the youth leadership team to be in regular prayer and
fasting for the ministry to the lost and dying youth of
Huancayo and the desperate situation here in Peru. Please pray for the
leaders in the churches here; for their spiritual protection and
growth in the Lord Jesus. Also be in prayer for Obed Alvarez, the
head of Mision-AMEN, as well as their other leaders and
missionaries. Please pray for our safety as we travel, and that we
will boldly speak God's Word wherever we go.
We pray that God is drawing you
closer and closer to Him every day. God bless you. We love you.
Yours
in Christ,
Arthur,
Mary Alice, Benjamin, Joshua, and Mary Beth Ivey
