"My prayer is not for them alone.  I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you.  May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.  John 16:20-21 NIV.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.  We praise the Lord God for having sent his Holy Spirit to guide and direct each of our steps, and for pouring out His grace upon us through His precious Son, Jesus Christ. We hope and pray that He has been blessing you wonderfully during this past month and that your life has been filled with His glorious riches and mercy.  We want to give you a special thanks for your continued prayers for us and support of the ministry in Peru.  We definitely see the results of your prayers for us and for the ministry here.  You are special people called by our Lord Jesus Christ to minister to His children.  Thank you for your faithfulness to His calling.  Thank you for your love for Him, for us, and for His children.

We have been back in Peru a little more than a month, and the Lord Jesus has already been blessing us immensely.  We have met with many of those that worked with us previously, and have some new persons interested in serving with us.  We were able to start a weekly prayer group that meets every Friday night.  We have been having an average of 20 folks praying with us each week, and have seen the Holy Spirit moving among them.  People have shared how the Lord is revealing Himself to them, and how they have felt led to confess things that were not right in their hearts, and try to reconcile with persons that they have been in conflict with.  One young lady shared with us how the Lord gave her the boldness and the words to go into a bar and bring one of her friends out and minister to that friend in the name of Jesus Christ.  The friend was willing to leave the bar because of the love and concern shown by this young lady for his well being.  This is what we have been praying for, and working toward for the past several years.  The Lord has been showing us how to tear down spiritual strongholds in our own hearts, and how to identify and attack spiritual strongholds within our families, churches, and community.   Please continue to battle in prayer with us for the hearts and souls of these precious young adults.

The  work in the jungle is continuing to prosper.  Our brother in Christ, Manuel Villar Bedoya, visited us recently with a wonderful report. He has been working with Pastor Pablo Paredes in the work in Palcazu.  Manuel told us that the mayor of Palcazu had donated a plot of land to the new church, and that a number of different people in the town had been led to donate building materials.  The land was previously owned by a person involved in the narcotics trade and had been abandoned.  With the materials, Pastor Pablo and several brothers from the church in Bermudez helped that new church in Palcazu construct a new church building.  The mayor has also donated three lots that are adjacent to each other to the church for the creation of a mission’s center.  The members of the church in Bermudez and Palcazu have decided on a plan to plant 14 additional churches in the region during the next year.

We recently meet with Moises Olaya who works with us in the work in Sharingamazu.  He shared with us that the Kid’s Club there is doing well, and that the large majority of the church attendance is the children.  He also shared with us that our brother in Christ, and co-worker, Enrique, is very sick and is spitting up blood.  We sent bus fare to Enrique so that he can to travel to Huancayo, in order for us to help him get medical help.  We hope to have a medical mission team help us in Sharingamazu this next summer, and pray that Enrique will be healthy and able to work with us.  Please be in prayer for his health and the work in Sharingamazu.

Please continue to be in prayer for the continued growth in the ministries here in Peru, especially in the Canta Valley, Huancayo, Palcazu, Bermudez, and Sharingamazu.  Please continue to pray that the Holy Spirit would continue to awaken and change hearts among the young adults of Huancayo.  Please also pray that we can find additional persons called to be part of the missionary team in Peru.  Covenant with us to continue in prayer for the young adult leadership team and their continued ministry to the spiritually lost and dying youth of Huancayo.  Please pray for the leaders of  the churches in Peru, and for their spiritual protection and growth in the Lord Jesus.  Also be in prayer for Obed Alvarez, the head of Mision-AMEN, as well as their other leaders and missionaries.  Please pray for our safety as we travel, and that we will boldly speak God's Word wherever we go.

We pray that God is drawing you closer and closer to Him every day. God bless you.  We love you.

  Yours in Christ,
