The Lord Jesus Christ, has been abundantly
blessing the ministry and work here in Peru. He is raising up an army of
young adults, youth, adolescents, and children to carry his message to the
spiritually lost and dying persons. You have been praying with us that the
Lord Jesus would raise up workers for the harvest, and He is answering our
prayers. We cannot stop praying for this, because as we have gained more
workers, more works are being opened. The work we planted in Sharingamazu in the low jungle and the training we gave to the young people
there is starting to bear much fruit. Enrique, the leader there, has been
working hard. The Kid's Club is now meeting regularly with an average
attendance of between 30 and 35. Through the children, the community is
being evangelized. The parents have started attending the Kid's Club and
have grown to the point that they now have three adult worship services
each week. Sharingamazu is a community in the low jungle that has no
running water and no electricity. The people group there is known as
the Yanesah.

In addition to the work in Sharingamazu, Pastor Pablo Paredes and the church in Puerto
Bermudez have used the Kid's Club to increase the membership in the Bermudez
church and to plant a new church in Pelmaz. They are planning on using
this ministry to help plant a new church in Palcazu, also. There has also
been a significant increase in interest about Kid's Clubs among churches in the
Huancayo area. We currently have 13 Kid's Clubs meeting every weekend in
and around Huancayo, three in the low jungle, and two
in Ayacucho. We are currently training young people from
the Iglesia Evangelica Peruana Dios es Amor so that they can start three
more Kid's Clubs in the Huancayo area, and are working with the Methodist Church
in Cerro de Pasco to start three more clubs there. We are no longer able
to keep an accurate account of attendance in the Clubs, but it appears that
we minister to between 1500 and 1700 children each weekend.

We had the wonderful privilege of hosting a team
from our home church, Wesleyan Fellowship. It was a very special time,
because very close friends and brothers and sisters in Christ, Dick and
Judy Gabriel and Keven Adams were a part of the team. Three dear brothers
and pastors from Wesleyan Fellowship were also on the team, David Eldridge,
Terry Cantrell, and our pastor, Charles Sineath. The group
participated in our Thursday night youth fellowship group and our two youth
leadership training groups. They addressed current issues such as sexual
purity and relationships with parents and elders, and fielded some rather
difficult and deep questions from our young people. The group also taught
a full day of classes to a group of around 40 missionary students and
pastors in the Mision-AMEN mission school (EMLA), and preached in
seven different churches that collaborate with us in the ministry here.
They participated in two of our Kid's Clubs and the senior high chapel
service at the Colegio Andino. They also ministered in a tremendous
way to our family. It was a marvelous and precious experience for
us.

Our
regional coordinators from the Mission Society, Jim and Shirley Tuttle,
visited us this month. Part of the reason for their visit was to
prepare for the end of our term of ministry here. We will be returning
to the States in January 2005 to start raising support to return to Peru for
another 4 to 5 year term. We will also be trying to recruit
additional missionaries to work with us. Unfortunately there are no
persons available to replace us when we leave Peru.
Arthur had the opportunity to teach a
workshop in the parent's retreat for our children's school. He
taught on the "Peaceful Family". What a blessing, 7 of the 10 parents
in attendance gave their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Please be in prayer with us for
the continued transition of the Kid's Club ministries and our efforts to
find and train additional workers for this ministry. Pray also for
the discipleship and leadership training and the youth cell ministry, and
that God would continue to impart His vision to these young
people. Please be in prayer for upcoming transition back to the
states and for opportunities to raise the additional support we need to return
to the work in Peru. Please continue to pray and thank the Lord Jesus
for our relationship with Mision-AMEN and our relationship with the
Churches. Most importantly we would like to ask you to covenant with us
and the youth leadership team to be in regular prayer and fasting for
the ministry to the lost and dying youth of Huancayo and the
desperate situation here in Peru. Please pray for the leaders in
the churches here; for their spiritual protection and growth in the
Lord Jesus. Also be in prayer for Obed Alvarez, the head of Mision-AMEN,
as well as their other leaders and missionaries. Please pray for our
safety as we travel, and that we will boldly speak God's Word wherever we
go.
We pray that God is drawing you closer and closer
to Him every day. God bless you. We love you.
Yours
in Christ,
Arthur,
Mary Alice, Benjamin, Joshua, and Mary Beth Ivey
